2014 OL339, Earth’s New Moon asteroid called 2014 OL339  mini-moons or transient irregular natural satellites, and three temporary natural retrograde satellites or quasi-satellites. the Kozai mechanism, or the Lidov–Kozai mechanism, refers to the orbit of a satellite that is perturbed by another body orbiting farther out. Due to the perturbation, the orbit of the satellite experiences libration (oscillation about a constant value) of its argument of pericenter. As the orbit librates, there is a periodic exchange between its inclination and its eccentricity. 3753 Cruithne  It has been incorrectly called Quasi-Moon, From 1994 through 2015, Cruithne makes its annual closest approach to Earth every November.


Cruithne is mentioned on the QI season 1 episode "Astronomy" in which it is claimed it is a second moon of the Earth  It has been incorrectly called.


We may not deduce that Cruithne is a "companion" of the Earth, as some authors wrote.
