MS DOS, Microsoft released in 1983,DOS-based version of Microsoft Word  which was designed to be used with a mouse,according to Microsoft

In 1983,Microsoft announced the development of Windows, a graphical user interface (GUI) for its own operating system (MS-DOS).

Word 1990 to 1995

The first version of Microsoft Word was developed by  former Xerox programmers hired by Bill Gates in 1981. When Windows 3.0 was released in 1990, Word became a huge commercial success
